WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
At Nadel, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional with deep experience in compliance and benefits administration who can also manage complex HR initiatives and serve as a trusted partner to the HR and payroll team. The Senior HR Generalist will place a critical role in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, overseeing benefits programs, and supporting the organization through scalable HR practices. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and strong relationship management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes including recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and status changes
- Ensure HR systems and employee records are accurate and up to date
- Support payroll processes and audits
- Develop and improve HR processes to increase efficiency and scalability
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and recommend updates to policies and practices
- Lead HR audits, reporting, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Partner with VP of HR to mitigate risk and address compliance-related concerns
- Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, and organizational challenges
- Handle complex and sensitive employee matters with professionalism and sound judgment
- Oversee and administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and leave programs
- Manage open enrollment processes, including strategy, communication, and execution
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex benefits issues and escalations
- Partner with brokers and vendors to evaluate and enhance benefits offerings
- Ensure compliance with benefits-related regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, FMLA, etc.)
- Lead and execute complex HR projects, including compliance initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements
- Identify gaps in current practices and implement solutions aligned with business needs
- Support organizational change efforts with a focus on communication, compliance, and adoption
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 6–8+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant exposure to compliance and benefits administration
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Demonstrated experience managing benefits programs and open enrollment processes
- Proven ability to handle complex employee relations matters and compliance issues
- Experience leading HR audits, reporting, and process improvements
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with emphasis on relationship building and change management
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, benefits platforms, and Microsoft Office
LOCATION: Culver City, CA (In office only)
COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $105,000 annually
